Hide-a-way for Healing

White Blood Cell Count (WBC), Hemoglobin (Hgb), Hematocrit (Hct), Platelets (PLTS), and Absolute Neutrophil Count (ANC) have been the lessons for the week. Torri's counts are too low to subject her to Chemo round #2 this week. Really this was a lesson in patience... Torri's family had scheduled a Lake Powell houseboat trip prior to her diagnosis for Sept 14-17. They had hoped to start round #2 a couple of days early so that Torri would be on the mend for the trip. Unfortunately, this was not to be. In fact, Torri's chemo round #2 was delayed more than a week due to low blood counts so adjustments were made to go to a cabin in the mountains for a safer getaway.
