Battle #3

Torri describes her cancer like an evil black shadow monster that has invaded her body without permission. She knew something was not right in her body and that there was a presence invading but it showed up as anxiety, depression, and pain. How does a person describe the monster living within, when in most minds the monster that is called cancer is an "old person's" disease commonly due to unhealthy living and that cancer happens to "other" people, not us? So it's easy to explain away...teenagers have anxiety and often depression. Social media has created the perfect persona that no one can obtain. Ear aches are a normal occurrence and rarely something to be concerned about. All masks of the shadow monster invasion.

Torri started round #3 of dual chemotherapy on Monday 10/8. We are even better armed for this battle and have learned many lessons from the previous battles. We are allowing the chemotherapy to play offense while utilizing defensive players to minimize injury and our defensive line grows with each round as we learn the greatest potential for harm.

Torri is surrounded by amazing supporters and healers! This has taught us all great lessons in humility, gratitude, and to recognize our blessings. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!
