Chemotherapy treatment number #1 lasted from Monday 8.20.18 through Friday 8.24.18. This was one of the toughest battles Torri's body has endured. She faced severe nausea, vomiting, fatigue, head pain, abdominal pain, and some unexpected bleeding. She lost 4.5 lbs despite tube feedings and spent every other day in the infusion clinic for hydration and anti-nausea infusions. Thank you, Aunt Courtney!

We are happy to report that she won this battle and the symptoms are now resolving. She is on her way to her first day of school (since day 1 didn't really count ;))! We have 1.5 weeks to stockpile ammunition for battle #2 which is scheduled for 9.7.18. Bring on the waffles, ice cream, pasta, and pretty much ANYTHING she wants to eat! We will continue nightly tube feedings for extra (nutritious) calories.

Shout out to all the friends that visited and lifted her spirits, to her G-ma who blended healthy foods for her feedings and sat by her side most of the week, and to every member of her family who spent countless hours supporting her every need.

Thank you all for the well wishes and for the positive healing energy being sent her way. "Friends don't lie" and we are blessed to have so many!
